About NSEC
Founded on 3 June 2009 by ministerial decree No. 2120, the National School of Emergency Care (NSEC) is a pioneering technical school and the only MEHE-accredited institution in Lebanon fully dedicated to education and training in Emergency and Critical Care.
NSEC delivers technical and professional training programs leading to the award of an official “Certificate of Specialization” in each of its 18 accredited courses.
For over a decade, NSEC has been committed to building national and regional capacity in emergency medicine through high-quality, standardized, and practice-oriented training, aligned with international recommendations and adapted to local realities.
Our Mission
To provide continuous, accredited technical education and training in emergency and critical care, empowering healthcare professionals, first responders, institutions, and communities to deliver safe, effective, and timely care in all settings.
NSEC is a trusted partner of the World Health Organization (WHO), which regularly entrusts the school with the delivery of training programs for hospitals and healthcare institutions in Lebanon.
Training Programs
NSEC currently offers 18 accredited technical courses, each leading to the award of a Certificate of Specialization, ranging from foundational to highly advanced levels, including:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS
Advanced Life Support, Emergency Department (ED) & ICU Management
EMT-B, Combat Life Saver (CLS), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC / T3C), Demining Advanced Life Support
Disaster Medicine, Mass Casualty and Emergency Response
Unique accredited courses focused on road safety, trauma prevention, and first response to traffic-related emergencies
Specialized training programs addressing emergency care for vulnerable groups and persons with special needs
Tailored courses designed according to the specific needs of institutions, hospitals, NGOs, armed forces, and communities
Selected Executed Courses & Collaborations
NSEC has delivered accredited training programs at national and international levels, including:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, Advanced Life Support, ED & ICU Management – in public and private hospitals, in partnership with WHO-Lebanon
BLS and emergency preparedness training for nurseries, schools, companies, and care institutions
EMT, Combat Life Saver, TCCC/T3C, Demining Advanced Life Support, and advanced trauma care for the Lebanese Army, security forces, and civil defense
Emergency and life support training delivered in the Gulf region, Africa, and the Middle East, in collaboration with international organizations and institutional partners
