Jina el Dar - Health Awareness Sessions - August 2016 till December 2017
Location: Remote areas in Lebanon


In the frame of “Jina Dar” Program, New Health Concept in collaboration with ABAAD, provides over a period of 2 days, five training sessions in a different district to cover all remote areas in Lebanon.


The objective of these sessions is to raise awareness of the women and girls on basic health, hygiene and first aid information.

It aims to highlight the necessity and importance of maintaining standards of health and hygiene, on a personal and family/household level. It also intends to provide these women and girls with a minimum level of efficient response towards common emergency cases.

Discussed topics

The following content was discussed over a one-hour session:

  • Health issues related to women:

    • Woman health and hygiene

    • Pregnant woman health care

  • Health issues related to child:

    • Child’s health evaluation

    • Child’s fever

  • Other general health topics and how to handle common emergency cases

Enhancing gender mainstreaming within WFP livelihood programs

General Objectives

To provide quality education sessions for women and female youth on SRHR and general health related topics.

Specific Objectives

To raise awareness in vulnerable communities (Lebanese and Syrian) on various health & safety topics, particularly pertaining to women and child health care as well as related to household safety as per below details:

  • Session 1: Health & safety at the household level

  • Session 2: General health and hygiene standards and recommendations

  • Session 3: Women health care 

  • Session 4: Child health care

Training on ER & ICU techniques - From July 2018 to Jan 2019
Location: Al Nidaa Hospital and Rafic Hariri University Hospital (RHUH)

Training on ER & ICU techniques for medical and nursing staff of the Human Call Association (HCA) 

General objective

To Improve Living Condition in Palestinian Gathering Host Communities – Support emergency medical response in Ain Helwe Adjacent Areas.

Specific objectives

To support the vocational training in nursing for 12 nurses along with 6 emergency physicians of the medical staff at Al-Nidaa Hospital in Ein el-Hilweh with the aim of developing their ER & ICU techniques at accredited institutes.

Following successful completion of overall training (both theoretical and practical), certificates from the Ministry of Education and from New Health concept were provided to trainees.

The overall training program extended over a period of 6 months, where each trainee undertook ER & ICU techniques courses.

Emergency Response Course (ETB) - January 2020
Location: United Nations Health Care Center - Ethiopia

Main objective

To train selected first aid responders UNECA staff so they can provide adequate emergency medical treatment to UN personnel. As such,

  • Train them as emergency medical first responders.
  • Familiarize them with the Emergency Trauma Bag.
  • Impart them with the baseline skills necessary to respond to a mass casualty incident.

Training on Emergency Medicine Techniques within the Project “Mental Health Services and Psychosocial Support to Victims of Torture and War-trauma in T5/Akkar” Funded by UNHCR

General Objective

The Emergency Medicine Techniques course is dedicated to Emergency Department (ED) staff (physicians and nurses) and allows obtaining a certificate of specialization in Emergency Medicine techniques.

Specific Objectives

The training course is intended to support the development of practical tools and skills for care management in the ED in order for ED nurses and physicians to provide it more efficiently and according to international standards; these include evaluation, orientation, treatment and follow up.
