Post Disaster Rapid Hospital Assessment - August 2020

CONTEXT
On Tuesday evening, August 4, 2020, two large explosions rocked the Lebanese capital of Beirut killing at least 160, wounding more than 6000, leaving more than 300,000 homeless and destroying nearby buildings. Humanly, no amount of money can compensate the losses incurred.
Besides being overwhelmed with mass casualties influx after the explosion, hospital buildings that were several kilometers away also suffered great material damage. This is to be added to their loss of staff members and in some cases patients, visitors, etc.
OBJECTIVES
The task main objective is to assess the damage that occurred in the most affected hospitals due to the Beirut port blast. It is intended to rapidly assess and document the damages that occurred in these hospitals and identify necessary repairs and equipment and supplies that must be repaired or replaced.
Emergency Response Course (ETB) - January 2020

Training on ER & ICU techniques - From July 2018 to Jan 2019

Training on ER & ICU techniques for medical and nursing staff of the Human Call Association (HCA)
General objective
To Improve Living Condition in Palestinian Gathering Host Communities – Support emergency medical response in Ain Helwe Adjacent Areas.
Specific objectives
To support the vocational training in nursing for 12 nurses along with 6 emergency physicians of the medical staff at Al-Nidaa Hospital in Ein el-Hilweh with the aim of developing their ER & ICU techniques at accredited institutes.
Following successful completion of overall training (both theoretical and practical), certificates from the Ministry of Education and from New Health concept were provided to trainees.
The overall training program extended over a period of 6 months, where each trainee undertook ER & ICU techniques courses.
Enhancing gender mainstreaming - September to December 2017

Jina el Dar - Health Awareness Sessions - August 2016 till December 2017

Framework
In the frame of “Jina Dar” Program, New Health Concept in collaboration with ABAAD, provides over a period of 2 days, five training sessions in a different district to cover all remote areas in Lebanon.
Objective
The objective of these sessions is to raise awareness of the women and girls on basic health, hygiene and first aid information.
It aims to highlight the necessity and importance of maintaining standards of health and hygiene, on a personal and family/household level. It also intends to provide these women and girls with a minimum level of efficient response towards common emergency cases.
